Hi Georgie, my mum arrives over the weekend and I am thinking maybe if we can get all the info we need in the wiki and then catch up next week to go through it and put it into the powerpoint and maybe get close to getting the ppt finished by next week. With the three of us together I think we could save a lot of time face to face. I am happy to meet where ever suits you two, or alternatively we can met up at my place, but I am about 10kms out of town on Marble Hill rd. I have two computer here.
Tanya 9.30am 26/7/12
Hi Tanya, I would be happy to meet up one afternoon that sounds like an excellent plan! I like the idea of focus nutrition on the school canteen as that is one of the main sources of nutrition at school (that and school lunchbox). Let me know when would suit you, maybe thursday afternoon?
Georgie

This is the only policy I could find on the schools website that related to out topic on nutrition. I could not find any school policy just written by the school. http://www.spyns.org.au/youth_schools.html I don't know if we could you this some where it is a local program helping school children.
Also internal students my mother is coming up beginning of the week and can look after my kids, thinking it may be a good idea to get together and nut this out further and get close to finishing, what are your thoughts.
I have been adding info but not fully clear as to exactly what is required ( A bit confused), I have watched the lectures but still not fully clear, but want to do my fair share of the work. Tanya 7.05pm 22/07/12

23/7/12 @ 12.50pm Hi Girls, Am looking at the outcomes page and we should probably finish this on the powerpoint presentation.I'll be looking at outcomes today at work. Hoping we can get back up to date in the next few days. Lets try to have this up to date by Wednesday night. Is that an okay plan for everyone? Have just updated the context analysis with the references. Deleted the pictures on the front cover page as this may be a good area for the google view shot. Jess and Georgie, the transcript sounds great for the focus area. Cheers, Tammy
Hi Tammy, Aiming for wednesday sounds good! I have a 60% assignment this week that I need to start so I am also going to be quite busy but it will be good to get the powerpoint up to date! Glad you are okay with the transcript I wasn't quite sure if I was on the right track or not as I just elaborated on what was said in the slides. Let me know what needs to be done next, I feel like I haven't really done much!! Georgie
23/7 - 11.30pm Have been working on getting the outcomes page completed. Please take a look at the updated powerpoint. It's just a snippet of what I've done. I'll make sure I keep working on it tomorrow to have this completed. I've incorporated info from Tanya's work and any other comments that were left on the outcomes page. Tanya, I hope you don't mind me doing this but thinking you might be busy. This page should be completed by tomorrow night. Please let me know if I'm doing this okay. I figured we could bullet point info and then expand in the transcript. I'll have to take this over a couple of pages which I think is okay as I read that other groups have done the same. Jess and Georgie, do you mind showing our presentation to Annette, in the next lecture, to see if we are on track with our ideas. While I finish off the outcomes, do you girls want to try and complete the 'realising outcomes' page. I think we have to look at policies etc. Haven't read too much about that one yet, thought it's best to finish off what we should have last week. Good night all, I'm knackered! Tammy
24/7 - 3pm Okay girls.... I can happily say that the outcome page is completed (as per syllabus info). I've included the transcript for both slides and added the reference into the reference list. Please take a look and let me know what you think!!! Now onto the 'realising outcomes' slides. I will be touching base in the next few days but I have some big assessments due very soon. Have to spend some time on those ones. I hope my work has helped the group and look forward to seeing how we go with the next section. Does anyone want to put their hand up for adding the next section into powerpoint, once all info has been gathered and discussed? Cheers, Tammy
Hi Girls, I'm happy to put my hand up for doing the next slide. Feel like i haven't really contributed a lot into this assignment so am happy to help out. This week is just pretty much observation for me at prac so I am not bogged down in lesson plans yet so I am really happy to put in for this next section. About to check out the powerpoint but I'm sure it's looking fab. going to put dinner on soon and I'll check back in after that (8pmish) and work on this for an hr or so. great work so far girls. Cheers, Melina
Hi Tammy, I have just had a look at the outcomes page in the powerpoint, it looks great! If I think of anything we need to add I will let you know but from what I see I am very happy with it. I have class right after our pe lecture so I will speak to Jess to see what other time would suit her then we can both sit down with Annette and see how we are going , what needs to be changed etc. That's fine Jess and I can finish off the realising outcomes page and add it to the powerpoint. Melina, I will help you with the next section if you like as I feel I haven't contributed a great deal either. I have a 60% assignment due Friday which I am trying to get done so could be a slow start for me this week, but am defiantly willing to help you out!! Georgie Hi Melina and Georgie, so glad you girls are happy to do the next slide. I will definitely help where I can. I'm feeling the pressure too Georgie with other assessments due. Is your 60% assessment for EDLT217. If so, I have mine due in 2 weeks along with everything else for the three other subjects. It's really busy at the moment hey! Good luck for your assessment due this week. One less you will have to think about. Good luck Melina with prac. I have mine straight after this trimester. I was lucky that it was approved for forth term, I have kindy this year - teaching with the principal in a small 90 child school. Only 19 kindy kids. Very excited. Has anyone taught kindy yet? Any advice you can pass on??? Tammy
Hi Tammy, Yes my 60% is EDLT217, can't wait to get it out of the way!! Jess what are you doing Friday? Maybe we could do the realising outcomes? Oh kindy will be so cute!!! A small school is so good. I worked in a small school for my disperse days with only 26 students and loved it so much! I haven't taught kindy yet Tammy, but good luck with them!! Georgie
Hi Girls, Sorry for the lack of contact this week. My weekend was spent in bed as I've had a mixture of the flu and asthma. I'm only starting to feel better now, but I will definitely be back online and helping out! I will be around on Friday, what time were you thinking. Tammy, have a wonderful time on prac! I put in to have kindy but I didn't get them, so I'm not big on advice either. I'm sure you will have a wonderful time! Goodluck. Jess
Hello Again, I've done some editing to the powerpoint. It was looking a little dull.. We will have to fix up the timing once we figure out the audio. Let me know if you want to make changes. Tammy, would you be able to delete some of the older power points. We are building up a fair pile of them. Will post some more comments shortly. Jess
Hi Georgie, my mum arrives over the weekend and I am thinking maybe if we can get all the info we need in the wiki and then catch up next week to go through it and put it into the powerpoint and maybe get close to getting the ppt finished by the end of next week. With the three of us together I think we could save a lot of time face to face. I am happy to meet where ever suits you two, or alternatively we can met up at my place, but I am about 10kms out of town on Marble Hill rd. I have two computer here.
Tanya 9.30am 26/7/12
Hi Jess,
Your changes look good but we have a problem. You've updated the powerpoint using an older version. The work I did on 24th July isn't in your powerpoint presentation. Slide 5 and 6 which is Syllabus Info and Outcomes needs to be copied and pasted into the version '26th July', you can find these slides in the version labelled '24th July'. You'll have to copy the transcripts from the pages across also. These pages are completed so there is no need to work on them again. Just check the reference page as I added a reference in there too that may not be in your updated powerpoint. I've deleted some of the older versions of powerpoint to clean up the page. I wonder how I give you access to do this too. Might look into it. See what I come up with. We're up to Realising Outcomes slide. I will be around but have a few other assessments that need my attention. I've left them to get this one done. Good luck with the next slide. If you want me to do anything please let me know. Cheers, Tammy
27th July Thanks for the feedback Tammy, opps my bad! I must of thought it was the latest one. I will update it now so that we can insert the new things. Hope you girls are happy with the changes I have made. Let me know if you are not. Good luck with the assessments Tammy. Jess
Hi Tanya! That is a great idea to meet up! I am free Wednesday afternoon and thursday after 2. Thursday would probably suit me better but just whatever works out for you and Jess is fine! I'm going to sit down tomorrow night and do some of the realising outcomes slide, I'll start with focusing on the school's policy for nutrition and see what I can find. The sooner we get this done the better! Jess and I have a workshop for the scope and sequence which we will complete in the workshop so that's all under control! So pretty much the realising outcomes is what needs to be done and then the evaluation so not too much more to go! We still need to find a time to meet with Annette and make sure we are on the right track. Let me know what day suits you and we will try to work something out!
Georgie
Just having a look on the school website, we could also somehow incorporate the healthy kids: Lunch box ideas in the canteen section. I'm having trouble finding a whole school policy but will keep looking. I'm also going to see if I can find any types of programming they do, although it could fall under the canteen.
Hi Georgie I am happy to do either or both. with mum here to baby sit for most of the week I am free whenever. Would love to get it close to finished this week. my mobile is 04 02230943 text or ring or wiki me time and place ( or my place is fine) and I'm there.
Tanya 3.15pm 30/07/12
Hi Tanya, Would 9am Wednesday suit you? Jess has class at 11 but if we need to we can stay longer and pump out as much as possible after 11. I thought it might be easier to meet at the une library if Jess has to duck off to class. Let me know if that is okay with you
Georgie 10:40pm 30/7
Georgie that sounds great will be at une library at 9am tomorrow.
Tanya 10am 31/7
Fantastic, see you there. We will wait for you out the front. There is also a tute for internals today at 1 about the scope and sequence, if its not too late notice it could be worth while coming to that. Otherwise does not matter at all, we will see you tomorrow! Georgie 1044am
sorry just realised it was 12 not 1 so probably too late!
Hi Everyone, Jess and I have just completed the scope and sequence slide on the powerpoint. Feel free to check it out and give us some idea. Will add in the transcript when we hear from you. We are going to book an appointment for Annette sometime next week, probably tuesday after our lectrure. Let us know of any questions you would like us to ask her. Georgie and Jess
Hello Everyone, Tanya, Jess and I worked on the realising outcomes slide today. It is now completed and I have just uploaded the updated powerpoint. If you could have a look at it, there is a bolded section that we are not sure if we should leave in or get rid of. We also still need to make it look nicer and add the transcript. Also can everyone please add in the things they have used into the reference list and I can start putting that together into alphabetical order etc. Thanks! Georgie 1/8 3:50pm
Hi Georgie the ppt slide that we did today is not in the ppt am I doing something wrong or is it missing
Tanya
Hi All,
Just opened the spreadsheet (31st July - it was the latest one) and the scope and sequence looks great. Jess and Georgie you've done so well. I just added a reference for the syllabus that I used in the outcomes and indicators slide. I'll update the reference list with the ones I used for context page soon. I couldn't see the realising outcomes slide, thinking you may be still working on it Georgie but if you upload your powerpoint and the changes I made aren't on it - I'll just fix it on your powerpoint. I have to say a huge thank you to Jess, Georgie and Tanya for working on the realising outcomes slide. It's great that we are so close to being done. Have we decided if we're adding voices to the slides? I've worked out how to do it but it ends up too large a file. Maybe this can be a question for Annette - how can we add voices to the presentation without making the file too large to upload/save? I deleted the last few powerpoint presentations but if we need them I can retrive them. Just trying to free up the files.
Will keep checking for the realising outcomes slide. Thanks again girls! We're on the home run now...
Cheers, Tammy 7.40pm 1/8/12
Friday 3rd August HI Ladies, Have some bad news. Just got this reply from Annette regardings the 4 P's: Groups are REQUIRED to complete ALL four P's. This was clearly stated and discussed during the associated input session. Annette
HI EVERYONE! So sorry I haven't been on here for a few days!! Ok I am going to upload the powerpoint again, maybe I uploaded the wrong one (sorry!). Nooooo I can't believe we have to do all 4!!! this is going to be hell!! Alright we can do it, I'm away for the weekend but Jess and I can meet up on Monday, if anyone has any ideas for the other 2 P's let me know! I'm a bit stuck for the other 2 to be honest. Let me know if you can see the realising outcomes now! Georgie 3/8 730pm
The slide looks great Georgie. You've done well! This weekend is chaos for me too but am happy to work on this early next week. I will read more about it to get my head around it. Have a good weekend away.... Tammy
Sorry Just realised we only did 1 or the P's (policy) not 2! I'm not exactly sure what programs means but I thought it could be about what programs the school has implemented regarding nutrition. The only one I can find is a link to 'healthy kids eat well, get active' which is a site that encourages parents to pack healthy and interesting lunch boxes and gives different idea of what to pack for their children. I'm not sure if that is even right though and the other 2 P's don't make much sense to me. Georgie
Hi Georgie and everyone - all I can say is crap. I just read Jess question and answer in the discussion board about having to complete all 4 of them and what Georgie wrote above. I am happy to get into it but I just not sure/ understand what I need to do. If anyone can shed some light on it for me so I can get into, I would appreciate it.. Just submitted an assignment and have another one due on Friday as well so just trying to juggle it all. and I thought we were so close to being finished Tanya 10.40pm 5/8/12
Hi Ladies, This was the reply to my question about the four p's: Hi Annette,
Our group had finished our slide for the 4 P's section, however we were told that you had to do all four of the P's.
The reason that we had only selected to do one was because on the powerpoint shell it states 'Describe how the group proposes to realise the outcomes shown on the previous slide. Examples of descriptions may include one or more of the “4P’s”' '
Does this mean that we can stick to just doing the school plan?
Group 27
Hi jess saw the response in the discussion board. I am happy to get into it I'm just on sure what is expected. If someone can help give me the direction to go, I will get into it. I will revisit the lecture but not sure that it will help me. Tanya 1.40pm 6/8
Hi Tanya, Tammy and Melina, Below is Annette's reply as to what we need to do for the 4P's section. I have added some comments as to where we are up to. Read Step 1 in the learning block titled GROUP PRESENTATION. This issue with the PPT shell was raised, addressed and answered in lectures. The input sessions were designed to lead groups through the simple process of creating all FOUR. Your group is expected to show evidence that you have developed for the context of your school:
a policy (1st P) Completed - School policy slide.
a procedure related to the policy (2nd P's) We are not completely sure about this one.. We were thinking of doing it on communicating with parents and caregivers)
a school PDH Plan (3rd "P") We have to add year 7-10 scope and sequence (geogie and I will complete this)
a learning activity (example of a decision related to program = 4th P) Lesson plan - Georgie and I will Do (tonight)
Have you listened to all input sessions? These actions need to be fully understood in the exam so it is in the best interests of all group members to experience all FOUR.
Hi Ladies,Jess and I have been talking about the assignment together and we have added in some thoughts on the 4 P's above.Jess and I will touch up on the Policy slide, add to the Plan slide and we will have to start from scratch with the program slide. We can do the procedure slide as well. Tanya, in answer to your question these are the things that we need to have completed:1. Evaluation slide 2.Recommended resources 3. Referencing4. Finish off the transcript5. Audio section. We have a bit to do before the end of the week! I am driving to Brisbane on Friday and Jess is driving to Sydney so we really need to get this finished off. Georgie and Jess I have tidied up the ppt a little, I will have a child on Wednesday but happy to catch up if needed, desperately want get it out the way. Tanya

Melina, I will help you with the next section if you like as I feel I haven't contributed a great deal either. I have a 60% assignment due Friday which I am trying to get done so could be a slow start for me this week, but am defiantly willing to help you out!!
Georgie
Hi Melina and Georgie, so glad you girls are happy to do the next slide. Tammy
Hi Tammy,
Yes my 60% is EDLT217, can't wait to get it out of the way!! Jess what are you doing Friday? Maybe we could do the realising outcomes? Oh kindy will be so cute!!! A small school is so good. I worked in a small school for my disperse days with only 26 students and loved it so much! I haven't taught kindy yet Tammy, but good luck with them!!
Georgie
Hi Girls,
Sorry for the lack of contact this week.
Goodluck.
Jess
Hello Again,
I've done some editing to the powerpoint.
Cheers,
Tammy
27th July
Thanks for the feedback Tammy, opps my bad!

Hi Tanya,
Would 9am Wednesday suit you?
Hi Everyone,
Jess and I have just completed the scope and sequence slide on the powerpoint. Feel free to check it out and give us some idea. Will add in the transcript when we hear from you. We are going to book an appointment for Annette sometime next week, probably tuesday after our lectrure. Let us know of any questions you would like us to ask her.
Georgie and Jess
Hello Everyone,
Tanya, Jess and I worked on the realising outcomes slide today.
Friday 3rd August
HI Ladies,
Have some bad news. Just got this reply from Annette regardings the 4 P's:
Groups are REQUIRED to complete ALL four P's.
Just submitted an assignment and have another one due on Friday as well so just trying to juggle it all.
and I thought we were so close to being finished
Tanya 10.40pm 5/8/12
Hi Ladies,
This was the reply to my question about the four p's:
Hi Annette,
Our group had finished our slide for the 4 P's section, however we were told that you had to do all four of the P's.
Hi Tanya, Tammy and Melina,
Below is Annette's reply as to what we need to do for the 4P's section.
- a policy (1st P) Completed - School policy slide.
- a procedure related to the policy (2nd P's) We are not completely sure about this one.. We were thinking of doing it on communicating with parents and caregivers)
- a school PDH Plan (3rd "P") We have to add year 7-10 scope and sequence (geogie and I will complete this)
- a learning activity (example of a decision related to program = 4th P) Lesson plan - Georgie and I will Do (tonight)
Have you listened to all input sessions? These actions need to be fully understood in the exam so it is in the best interests of all group members to experience all FOUR.Hi Ladies,Jess and I have been talking about the assignment together and we have added in some thoughts on the 4 P's above.Jess and I will touch up on the Policy slide, add to the Plan slide and we will have to start from scratch with the program slide. We can do the procedure slide as well.
Tanya, in answer to your question these are the things that we need to have completed:1. Evaluation slide
2.Recommended resources
3. Referencing4. Finish off the transcript5. Audio section. We have a bit to do before the end of the week! I am driving to Brisbane on Friday and Jess is driving to Sydney so we really need to get this finished off.
Georgie and Jess
I have tidied up the ppt a little, I will have a child on Wednesday but happy to catch up if needed, desperately want get it out the way.
Tanya
